The Dutch foursome ZEITWENDE (2023) wears its musicality like a thick ’90s coat. This fiercely passionate band delivers dark rock steeped in a grunge feel, with progressive influences. ZEITWENDE walks a tightrope between two worlds: one where intense riffing rides on a solid, thunderous, and tribal base, and another where melancholy is conjured through lyrical scenes and expansive, atmospheric soundscapes. Inspired by European news and history, the band doesn’t shy away from political themes but instead confronts social issues and historical contexts head-on. ZEITWENDE goes deep, taking you along for the ride.

ZEITWENDE ain’t new kids on the block. The past 20 years the bandmembers worked their way into the international music scene with bands like Textures, Kong, and Extremities.

The night will start off with TRIA NEMA; a powerful vocal trio as the focus of the musical endeavour. Citing exploration of challenging emotional circumstances as the catalyst for their collaboration, they detail the hardships of being a woman in modern society through an extensive emotional spectrum as they move towards healing, health, and happiness.

Leaning towards a singer-songwriter approach to composition, TRIA NEMA are inspired by the work of Marissa Nadler, Anna Von Hausswolff and Emma Ruth Rundle. The trio of female voices are backed by a three piece band who provide a foundation upon which their harmonies soar. Tria Nema aims to embody the inherent value of femininity as they aspire to create a powerful resonance with the audience.
