Flotsam and Jetsam is an American thrash metal and progressive metal band that formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 1981. The band currently consists of vocalist Eric “A.K” Knutson, guitarists Michael Gilbert and Steve Conley, bassist Michael Spencer, and drummer Ken Mary. Flotsam and Jetsam went through several lineup changes over the years, and Knutson has been the only constant member of the band. They are also notable for featuring bassist Jason Newsted, who left the band shortly after the release of their debut album to join Metallica as Cliff Burton’s replacement. Flotsam and Jetsam have released thirteen studio albums in their career (the latest being 2019’s The End of Chaos), and have sold over one million records worldwide.[ Despite not achieving similar levels of commercial success as some of their thrash metal contemporaries, the band is often credited as an integral part of the second wave of the genre in the 1980s and early 1990s (along with Testament, Sepultura, Dark Angel, Death Angel, Sacred Reich, Forbidden, Vio-Lence and Annihilator), and has achieved minor success in America, with two of their albums (1988’s No Place for Disgrace and 1990’s When the Storm Comes Down) entering the Billboard 200 chart and their fourth album Cuatro (1992) cracking the top 30 on the Heatseekers chart. Their latest album “The end of Chaos”got overwhelming reviews worldwide and the band just did a very succesfull tour lately with Destruction & Overkill around Europe! Second time the band is playing Little Devil and I, Mario MMM, am very proud of that! Last time it will sold out very fast so don’t wait to long to order your tickets!!!
Like the riotous music they play, since their inception in 2011, Adelaide-based thrash metal three-piece HIDDEN INTENT have been carving their way through the m…asses with their unabashedly unapologetic ‘80s-throwback thrash metal, a form of music that wholly embraces its American and European roots in the Bay Area, Scandinavian and Teutonic thrash scenes. Being lauded for their “energetic” live show and the “party thrash” they play for their audience, the Adelaide trio have continued to build their name well into the now.
With lead vocalist/bassist Chris McEwen (ex-Abyzmal, ex-Obsidian Aspect) at the helm, and the lead guitars of riff-lord and backing vocalist Phil Bennett (ex-Desert Eagle/TKBF), the trio is completed with the more recent addition of Paul Lewis (Hawkai, ex-Death Boundaries, Tidal) on drums. The band already played Little Devil as support of Lich King and delivered an awesome show that night!! So be there to witness if you missed that show!!!
