The Swedish metal band Avatar is now up to date with their third and self titled album. They have developed a new more mature and melodic sound on this album, mixed by Tobias Lindell (Europe, Mustasch). Avatar released their debut album Thoughts of no tomorrow in 2006 when they were just eighteen years old. The debut album was released in Europe and entered top three on the metal album chart back home in Sweden. The second album Schlacht was released in 2007 and the big break came the same year when Avatar was picked by In Flames to support them on their sold out Scandinavian tour. Since then they have also supported Megadeth, Stone Sour and Obituary. Avatar will now tour together with Hardcore Superstar on their upcoming European tour. This album is for sure one of the most interesting metal releases this fall.

Static Noise, "The One Decade" is the genuine grippingly confluence of emotions and organic ripping metal, this EP signifies the latest chapter that started in 2006. Static Noise brings out a fearless sound which shows the bands aggressive structural complexity and its catchy melodic hooks in a way that they are able to distance themselves from the pack.

Dustineyes (IT) are four alcohol fueled, Rock ‘n’ Roll maniacs who play louder as they can: call their music Hard Rock, call it Punk, call it Heavy Metal. Started in the end of ‘90 as a horror punk trio named Split, in 2000 they got their first deal with InsideOut Records and they release the first full lenght album “Rebel Moster”. On 2008 they released worldwide the second album “Next Stop Hell” via Sliptrick Records from New York -U.S.A.- and they toured all over Italy and Europe sharing the stage with bands like L.A. Guns, Hardcore Superstar, Pretty Boy Floyd, Tuff, Crystal Pistol, Necrodeath and many more... D.I.E. are now working on their third new album.

Chapter7 is ontstaan uit de as van de Tilburgse band Mur-Dog met de toevoeging van voormalig Ebola-bassist Bas van Os. In het korte bestaan van de band heeft zij al gestaan op verschillende festivals, waaronder The Cult, het Tumult Festival in Veldhoven en Bevrijdingspop in Tilburg. Verder hebben de heren de support gedaan van verschillende internationale bands, waaronder Jaya The Cat en Sayowa. De sound van het gezelschap is rauw, in-your-face powerrock met catchy hooks. Chapter7 is geïnspireerd door bands als Stone Sour, Black Stone Cherry, Three Days Grays en Puddle Of Mudd.

Marios Metal Meeting, die dit jaar op zondag 3 oktober plaats zou vinden in de Kleine Zaal van 013, is verplaatst naar cafe Little Devil! Gekochte 013 kaarten blijven uiteraard geldig.

Picture wordt ook wel omschreven als Nederlands eerste heavy metalband. Na jaren van afwezigheid zijn de heren enkele jaren geleden weer nieuw leven ingeblazen en de live besprekingen van deze metalmannen liegen er niet om! Picture heeft ook in het buitenland een absolute cultstatus en met klassiekers als ‘Heavy Metal Ears’, ‘Diamond Dreamer’, ‘Bombers’ en ‘Eternal Dark’ (ooit gecoverd door Hammerfall). Als je van Old School Metal houdt dan mag je deze band niet missen!

Gunslinger is de band van ex-Hawkwind bassist Alan Davey, en nadat hij in 2006 Hawkwind (na ruim 20 jaar!) verliet besloot, hij Gunslinger weer op te pakken. Muzikaal doet Alan Davey exact hetzelfde als Lemmy deed nadat hij Hawkwind verliet; snoeiharde rock ’n roll maken a la Overkill en Bomber.

Martyr is ook een band uit de oude stal. Gedurende de vijf jaar dat Martyr alive and kicking was (1982-1987), heeft de band twee albums uitgebracht welke tegenwoordig worden beschouwd als Cult Classic Metal albums. Martyr verdween in 1987, maar kwam weer bij elkaar in 2001 om op te treden op diverse festivals. In Februari 2009 is het eerste nieuwe MARTYR album, sinds bijna 25 jaar, uitgebracht.

Mother of Sin is een melodieuze heavy metal band, geformeerd rondom ex-Elegy/Prime Time zanger/gitarist Eduard Hovinga en ex-Vengeance drummer Gerry de Graaf. De band wordt vergeleken met bands als Masterplan, TNT en Symphony X.

The band was formed somewhere in middle of 2008 and they recorded their first demo at the end of the same year. Their music can be best described as fast and loud with melodic vocals and now and then a little bit of additional screaming. So if this is your cup of tea you should definitely go check m out.
